I got this for my daughter's MBA and it protects it nicely. We wanted a cover that would protect the MBA but not take up to much space in her already full school backpack. The inside sherpa lining adds an extra layer of protection beyond the neoprene.

I should have went w/ my first instinct and not buy this. The design makes it hard to put my macbook air in and take out of the sleeve.
