This item is really good, actually, but not for an 11.6 inch HP notebook. I think the case could actually fit a 15 or 17 inch computer quite comfortably...but otherwise, the material was hardy, the padding was thick, and I really did like the case. I just had to return it because my notebook was sliding around and having a party in there. I think, perhaps, if the actual dimensions of the product was given, rather than the size of the computer it is supposed to fit, there would be no surprises of my kind. Amazon handled my return really well, though, so that is a huge bonus. Not a bad sleeve, just too big for my computer.

It's hard seeing what's so hard in making a laptop case for 11.6 laptops that's actually the right size. You'd think it could be done with the help of a basic ruler. This case easily fits 2 of them, which defeats the purpose of getting a small laptop, as this case will ensure that it takes up as much space as a full size laptop.Why settle for just twice as big? Why not 3 or 4 times as big while at it? Then you could fit the entire family's notebooks in just this one case.
I mean what's next, a suitcase for netbooks??

I ordered the one on this page, which describes the sleeve as an appropriate size for a netbook. I even double checked with the measurements they provide in the description. The one I got was more suited for a huge, 17" laptop than my 11.6" one. Don't waste your time with this; just go get one at a store or try another seller.It looked like it was a decent material, etc. but I didn't take it out of the plastic.
