I was looking for a sleeve to put my brand new Samsung 15.6" Series 7 Chronos laptop in, and have an extra compartment to hold various accessories. It would generally go inside a bookbag for school and I didnt want the folders and books to damage the laptop. This neoprene sleeve has fit the bill! I trusted Cocoon with my tablet, so I was interested in this.

First, the handle is on the top, which is ideal for my situation because I would be pulling it out vertically. The handle is of good quality and doesnt look like it will rip from the neoprene.

Secondly, the main compartment has a very luxurious and soft liner, which has not introduced any scratches. My laptop, as mentioned above, is a little larger than the recommended 15.4" maximum package, but since my laptop is essentially a ultrabook on steroids (doesnt have an optical drive), the lack of thickness allows it to fit with no chaffing or stretching of the sleeve. One concern I do have is the zipper. Nothing is wrong with the function of it, but I wonder if it will scratch the computer if you it around a lot. But I dont do that, as my laptop doesnt have an SSD and that kind of motion would probably kill my HDD.

Thirdly, the 2nd compartment has a great storage board, one of Cocoon's trademarks. It has elastic bands woven throughout that allows me to store an external blue ray writer, charging cables, usb multi card reader, and more! I worry about the elastic wearing out someday, but I have had my other Cocoon case with this same woven storage board for 2 years and it hasnt worn out yet.

All things considered, I am glad I put some research into finding this because it has perfectly fit my needs over the last month of ownership.

I bought this for my super-nerdy husband for Christmas. He has tried nearly every electronics/computer case available in an effort to organize his devices when he travels. He loves the Cocoon Grid-it system!
