This purple case is very easy to put on, and very soft to the touch. It even includes a transparent keyboard cover, but since I already own a purple one, I haven't given it much use. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is that there are spots in which the finish of the coating isn't too even. It isn't too noticeable, but I think that others looking to purchase this cover should know in advance. Overall, I think it was a good buy. It is affordable and looks really nice!

I'm very happy with my transparent see-through cover. I received it a few days ago-not boxed, but (in perfect condition) in a Priority Mail envelope just 3 or 4 days after ordering it, well before the ETA I was given. This clip-on case has a clean look that allows the Apple logo and the original metallic color of my MacBook Pro to show through, which was what I wanted and has a high-end look to it that compliments my computer. As the photos of this model show, the top cover does not have a cut out for the logo, which I think better protects my computer. This cover doesn't feel "rubberized" but it has a nice firm feel to it and the transparency is frosted, which looks very cool and I'm hoping will conceal some of the scratches it will get over time. I was pleased that it snapped on so easily and stays snugly in place. Good fit. No hang ups when opening (even to the maximum) or closing my computer and the edges of the cover are well away from all the ports for easy access. The bottom piece is vented, as it should be. I'm happy my MacBook Pro is now covered and protected from scratches, smudges, and dirty hands. I usually eat my meals at my desk with my computer just inches away and now feel more comfortable having it covered. This laptop cover also comes with a clear transparent fitted keyboard cover. It fits well with the keys of my fairly new MacBook Pro (13") and I haven't perceived any computer over-heating related to the cover as in one review I had read, but then again, I just got it. Time will tell. I like the idea that all I'll have to do is lift and clean off the cover occasionally instead of the keys themselves, and between them, and they're protected from wear. I don't exactly have a light touch when I type. So over all, this was a GOOD buy, especially for the low price! The snap-on covers I saw in the retail stores were ridiculously priced at about $50! ...insane. It's just a cover, people. Until recently, I hadn't purchased anything online for a long time, years actually, and I was a little nervous about buying this, going only by the photos and the only one available review, but it seems I had nothing to worry about. I hope all future purchases go as well as this one.

I was super excited to get a purple hard case for my new laptop and when it came I put it on right away. Unfortunately the case I was sent was not molded correctly, the back left corner of the bottom half of the case came away from the computer about a half an inch but everything else was fine about the fit. When GMYLE sends you one of their products it comes with this card that says you have a one year warranty on the product and you just have to register the product with them. So I did that with the hopes I could get a new bottom sent to me. When I went to contact someone from the business all I could do was send an email so I did so. It took at least 4 days to hear back from someone and it was a computer generated email. I had to send back information about my order so they could make sure I ordered one of their cases. When I finally got a reply again it was another computer generated email, this one asked me to send it a picture of the hard case with the mailing packaging. And again I did as told. The third response back told me that some laptops were different so the fit might not be good and they wanted info about my laptop. By this point I was rather upset with the computer generated responses but once again I sent what they needed. Now on the fourth email response from GMYLE, I was sent instructions how to put on the case... not what I needed at all. NO ONE has read my emails or heard what I've had to say. With the instructions, they also said if it didn't work then I can return it but I have to get instructions from a computer to do that too. Looks like I will be sending it back.

Bottom line, if your willing to get a deformed case sent to you (might not happen in your case) and aren't willing to deal with computerized customer service that gets you no where, don't buy from GMYLE. Worst Customer Service Ever!

Stylish and functional, this is the type of product I was looking for for my Mac Book. I was nervous the laptop was going to get scuffed, scraped, and otherwise damaged considering it's material, so I purchased this cover. It is rubber, however, it's more of a semi-hard plastic, it's not too "gummy" when on the laptop and gives me the impression that it will hold up to any of the scuffs or scrapes it may encounter during it's lifetime. It also rather perfectly lines up (as it should) with all of the inserts and cut outs of the Mac Book like the SD Disk input, speaker, CD opening, etc.

I do want to mention however, that I did find that the location of where the cover latches or snaps onto the laptop probably couldn't have been placed in a worse spot. Personally, I like to rest the outside of my wrist bones on the surface of the laptop on each side of the mouse track pad. However, the manufacturer has managed to un-strategically place the only two latches for the bottom part of laptop cover right where my left and right forearms graze over the laptop when I type. After about 15-20 minutes of typing I usually have to take a rest because it starts to slightly irritate my skin. I find it amazing that this was somehow missed during the design aspect for the cover.

However, I do not like the plastic keyboard cover that it comes with, which contrary to the cover is very soft and "gummy." It's likely just personal preference, but I like to actually touch the keys, not the cashier-type plastic covering of this keyboard cover. I will mention though, for those that are interested in the keyboard cover, that it does cover and fit the keyboard extremely well and if stays in place well when typing, you just obviously won't be able to skim your fingers over the keys because the friction between your fingers and the rubber won't allow it.

Overall, I'm very happy with the laptop case cover, and personally don't care for the keyboard case although, I also don't drink coffee or other liquids near my laptop so that could be invaluable for some of you out there :)

GOOD product so far! I like the rubbery feeling. but when i got this in the mail, only a little of the side was cracked ): but its not too noticeable so its okay:)
