The neoprene sleeve is really great quality and fits 15.6" laptops very nicely. The zipper does not scratch the laptop as it enters the sleeve, and the interior of the sleeve is very soft. The spare zipper compartment on the front of the sleeve is a nice touch, too, and can fit small to medium sized power cords (which are pretty much par for the course for 15.6" laptops anyway.

The included 2.4 ghz wireless mouse is great, too (software is included on a cd-rom, but it's plug and play if you have internet connection, so that's super easy). Also, the mouse has leftand right-click features, a scroll wheel, and even a "back button" for easy navigation. It even includes the duracell battery already inside! Honestly, I'd expect the mouse alone to go for $10-15 minimum, and the neoprene sleeve is easily worth $20, so for $10 total for both, I'm floored. You'd think HP were going out of business and liquidating at that price.

Note that the "blue" sleeve and mouse are a purplish shade of blue (the picture on amazon is very accurate), but I have seen other pictures elsewhere claiming to be this same blue sleeve that look much more like normal blue. I wouldn't say this shade is either masculine or feminine, but it does look good with the black neoprene.

In short, if you're on the fence about whether to get this sleeve & mouse combo, don't be...it's probably the best deal I've ever seen on amazon, and that's saying a lot!!

Update: after using the mouse a bit more, I wanted to add a small point. The top part of the mouse (where you rest your hand) snaps off to store the usb plug. The snappiness of this cover can seem a little flimsy IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO SNAP ON THE TOP OF THE MOUSE! (There's actually a little switch inside the mouse that you need to flip to make it fully snap into place.) So, just be sure to read the instructions and the mouse will be perfect.

I got this for my work laptop to use instead of the heavy huge oversized computer briefcase we were provided with and it works a treat. The optical mouse wasn't with my sleeve though :-(. However, the ease of being able to put the laptop in this sleeve and then into my messenger bag with my files is priceless. It is sturdy and well-made.

When I shop, I shop cheap: I find the cheapest item on Amazon (or the market in general) and look for positive reviews. That being said, this made the cut BY FAR; in fact, it passed with flying colors.

I didn't believe that this case+mouse bundle was legitimately HP. I expected it to be some cheap knock-off since the sellers--although trustworthy--weren't Amazon.com or HP themselves. Boy was I wrong. It's actually HP, and (at least for the seller that shipped it to me) it arrived in its original packaging.

Onto the case itself: I LOVE it. Granted I don't own an HP laptop myself, but I bought the case so I could use it for other laptops. If it's a perfect fit, well, with this case you'll definitely know. There's a sort of hard frame around the edges to help keep its shape and it's really easy to zip up. One thing to note (and this is minor considering I'm not rating based on an actual HP laptop): I own a Toshiba 15.6" and it's a little fat. The case did fit, but it was an extremely tight fit. The edge/frame makes it harder to zip up. I had a Samsung 15.6" laptop, and I tried fitting that in as well. Being slimmer, the Samsung fit in with room to spare.

The additional zipper at the front is useful. It can be used to fit a charger or the mouse that comes with the bundle, but obviously it's going to bulge. I feel like the front does have more of a 3D feel that other laptops though. Also, as another review pointed out, the color in the picture is really accurate. Some people have disagreed with me, however, and said that it does look more blue than purple-ish so I guess it's just personal opinion.

The mouse is also really nice. I still don't understand what the middle clicking button is for (there's an extra button with a paper icon on it), but it's probably written in the instructions somewhere. The mouse compartment where the battery and USB holder are is easy to open and close--just be sure to close it at the bottom after you're done (it gets loose otherwise.)

One last thing to note (and I don't think any other review has mentioned it): I had mine come in its original packaging, like I said earlier. The front part of the packaging looks like something you can throw away, but other than the mouse, it also contains a CD and setup instructions. Obviously if you have a newer laptop, you can do things without these instructions. The mouse plugged in fine for both my new Toshiba/Samsung without the setup CD because they recognized the driver, but just in case you need it, make sure not to throw it away!

It is always good to purchase a kit/bundle. I was shopping for a decent wireless mouse but the sleeve was extra! I have not gotten much use out of the sleeve but it is good quality; in all honesty it is slighly snug on my 15.6. i do not have any complaints about the mouse, it does what it was purchased to do ---I plugged it in put battery in and it worked. good purchase.
