I've worked for three different consulting companies that have provided me laptop bags and nothing beats the functionality of this one. It has the exact storage I need to keep all of my belongings. I use the long pocket across the bottom front to keep cables and my laptop lock. There is a small pouch in the front just under that handle that holds my USB headset perfectly, as I make a lot of calls from my computer. I love the clasp inside the front compartment to attach my keys to so I don't have to dig for them when I get off the plane. The clam shell design is very convenient so I don't have to take my laptop out every time I fly. And there is a lot of padding to keep my laptop protected when I inevitably drop the bag. This a slightly larger version than what Accenture was providing to their management consultants a couple years ago when I started, but close to the same thing. When I left Accenture, they took the bag so I hunted this one down and bought it on my own. I originally bought a fancy leather bag, but it did not have the strap on the back to hold it against the handle of my luggage and I figured the leather would get beat up from squashing it under the airline seats, It was also missing all the great points I mentioned above. My only complaint is that it is very plain looking; I wish they had the logo tag on the front like my old one to add some color.

This bag first caught my eye when a colleague of mine received one. He was kind enough to let me look through his bag and check out all of the compartments and pockets. After earning my satisfaction, I decided to request one for my birthday. I hemmed and hawed over which model to request for weeks. I think I would have been pleased with any of the models, but, when I received this bag, it was a match made in heaven. I have a 13.3" MacBook Pro which fits with a little extra room in the laptop slot (I don't mind the extra room as I do not feel it compromises the safety of my MBP in there). There are plenty of well-thought out pockets throughout the bag (which would make or break this bag for me); for example, two of the pockets on the inside are large enough to each hold my Iomega hard drive!

I have been using this bag for over a month now, and I feel this bag is the perfect combination of form and function. The price is definitely worth it; I have seen and purchased bags that can't hold a candle to this one but cost more.

I should add that I contacted Brenthaven before I requested this bag for my birthday. I asked a representative what the difference was between the various models of bags, and he was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and patient. Additionally, if you get a chance, check out their website and see how environmentally conscious they are.

This bag has put with my travel every week for the past one year and still looks new. Overall very happy with the purchase. One small issue is that the bag cannot stand on its own. It needs to lean against a support.

Come to find out it was a Brenthaven. I immediately ordered on for myself and now another one for my wife.

I already own the Brenthaven rolling laptop bag and wanted something to carry my MacBook Pro when traveling light. What sold me was that I did not have to take my laptop out of the bag when going through security and that, knowing how Brenthaven makes their other bags (from what I have seen), this will be well padded to protect my computer.

I traveled this week with the bag and it was perfect. Room for a power charger, mouse, accessories (VGA adapter, a few ethernet & iPod cables and a USB hard drive), without stuffing the bag. With all of the things in the bag, it still fit easily underneath the seat in front of me on the plane.

If you are looking for a bag that holds everything you will need for a short to medium trip, this is the bag for you. Very well built and comfortable to have over my shoulder for extended periods.
